Review: Huawei E5331 Mobile Wifi

One thing I simply can't live without - the internet! You too I assume? hehe. Well unlucky for us who live in the the Philippines, internet is very slow when you have to be on the go! I'm a globe postpaid subscriber and I just usually use my data plan, but it sucks! It's almost like dial up! And my phone gets super hot when I use it as a hotspot. Booo!

Here's the good thing though! :D One of the many things my boyfriend gave me recently, is a mobile wifi. Particularly, the Huawei E5331.

DIY: Homemade Buttermilk

I have taken up baking recently, and since I'm such a noob at everything cooking related, I do not know which places are the best to look for some ingredients used in baking. Just a few weeks ago, I made some red velvet cupcakes, and I've bought everything except for BUTTERMILK! I searched 3 different grocery stores, went back and forth the milk aisle, dairy, etc… and hey.. no buttermilk! So I looked it up, I was wondering if maybe I can omit that certain ingredient. But hey, no. That's because buttermilk is one of the key ingredients that make your cake moist. I decided to look for an alternative, and here it is - Make your own buttermilk. :D Yayy! It's super easy actually, and the things you need for this is pretty much already available in your kitchen.

What you need:
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of distilled white vinegar

How to:
Pour the white vinegar on the milk and stir. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes. And ta-daaaa! It's ready to use. :)

DIY: A Twist On Your Toast

Don't you get bored with your usual buttered bread toast? Well I sure do! However, some of us just don't have the time or skills to cook. :( So here are some (not so new) ideas on how to have your bread toast in a more tasty way.

Chocolate Toast

Please excuse the low quality pic. :D

What you need:
-Bread ( I prefer a loaf bread)
-Milo / Ovaltine (Or any malted chocolates powder you have available)
-Condensed Milk

Steps:
-Spread a fair amount of condensed milk on your bread
-Sprinkle some chocolate powder over it
-Place in your toaster for 5 minutes or less

Isn't that easy?? This is perfect for those moms who are having a hard time to get their kids to have breakfast. I know, because my 10 year old brother is very picky but he loves loves loves this! You can even use a cookie cutter to cut it into fun kiddie shapes.

Sweet Mozzarella

What you need:
-Bread
-Butter
-Mozarella Cheese
-Sugar (I used brown sugar just because its what we have, but you can use any type of sugar)

Steps:
-Spread butter on your bread
-Top it off with bits of mozzarella cheese (easier if you have the shredded ones)
-Sprinkle with a little bit of sugar
-Place in your toaster for 5 minutes or until it becomes toasted or when you see the cheese has melted.

For those who does not like chocolate so much, I recommend this. This is my go to food when I'm tired of cereals, and there's nothing to eat for breakfast. The sugar is just perfect as it contrasts the saltiness of the butter and cheese.
